Chelsea Clinton Engaged To Longtime Boyfriend, Marc Mezvinsky

Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton, the only daughter of former President Bill Clinton and incumbent Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Marc Mezvinsky. Marc is the son of former Iowa congressman Ed Mezvinsky and former Pennsylvania congresswoman Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinksy. In addition to both having politicians for parents, Chelsea, 29, and Marc, 31, are both Stanford University graduates. Marc currently works at Goldman Sachs and Chelsea is attending graduate school at Columbia University’s School of Public Health. The couple became engaged on Thanksgiving, which they spent in New York together. On Friday, November 27, 2009, Marc and Chelsea sent a mass-email out to their friends and family stating: “We’re sorry for the mass email but we wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Thanksgiving! We also wanted to share that we are engaged! We didn’t get married this past summer despite the stories to the contrary, but we are looking toward next summer and hope you all will be there to celebrate with us. Happy Holidays! Chelsea & Marc.” It is reported that Mark proposed to Chelsea with a blue natural sapphire and diamond engagement ring, such as the one shown below. Halle Berry Win $40,000 Bidding War at Alicia Keys’ Charity Event

Halle Berry is currently taking a break from acting while she spends time with her family, but continues to remain in the spotlight. On October 15, 2009 in New York, Halle and her husband, Gabriel Aubry attended the Keep-A-Child-Alive charity event. Halle was engaged in a bidding war with an unknown guest before finally winning a necklace from Alicia Keys‘ new jewelry line, Barber’s Daughter, for $40,000. Alicia wore the necklace throughout the event, but Halle took it home.

Many other celebrities attended the charity event including: Chris Martin, John Mayer, Queen Latifah, Richard Branson, and Former President Bill Clinton. The event raised $2.5 million for the foundation, to provide help to families with HIV/AIDS in Africa & India. Alicia Keys helped found Keep-A-Child-Alive after visiting South Africa in 2003 and witnessing the effects of the AIDS up close.

We would recommend The Natural Sapphire Company’s luxurious and unique natural sapphire jewelry pieces to Halle Berry for her next jewelry splurge.
