Jared Fogle, also known as The Subway Guy, the famous spokesperson for the fast food restaurant chain, Subway, recently got engaged to Katie McLaughlin. Prior to his hiring at Subway, he lost 245 pounds on his “Subway diet”, which epitomized the “healthier” fast food chain.

Jared, 32, proposed to his girlfriend of one year, Katie, near the campus of Indiana University, their alma mater. Katie, 30, is a school teacher and according to Jared, “She’s been so wonderful and caring. She’s just been the most supportive woman.”

This will be the second marriage for Jared and the first for Katie. Jared married Elizabeth Christie Fogle, a pediatric nurse, on October 14, 2001 and got divorced on October 18, 2007.

We think that Jared would be pleased with the selection of beautiful natural sapphire weddings bands from The Natural Sapphire Company for the upcoming wedding. The couple plan to exchange vows this summer.
