Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, who is known for her role in the MTV reality TV series, Jersey Shore, recently announced that she is launching her own custom jewelry line. On New Year’s Eve while Snooki was inside an over-sized NYE ball in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, she wore a limited edition pendant from her jewelry line. Recently, Christina Aguilera was spotted wearing a new ring, but according to People Magazine it is not an engagement ring. The ring was given to her by her boyfriend of three months, Matt Rutler, a production assistant. Matt gave Aguilera the ring for her birthday, which was on December 18th. The couple met while Christina was filming Burlesque. Christina, 30, was married to music producer Jordan Bratman for five years, until their divorce in October 2010. Aguilera and Bratman have a two-year-old son Max together.

According to a source, it is very important to Christina that Max and Matt would get along well. Therefore, Christina introduced her son to Matt on an outing to the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. Natalie Portman, 29, has announced her engagement to choreographer Benjamin Millepied and that they are expecting a child. Natalie and Benjamin met during the production of Black Swan, in which Natalie played the lead role of ballerina Nina Sayers in the ballet of “Swan Lake”. Her fiancé played the role of David, one of the male ballet dancers in the psychological thriller. Recently, Portman told Entertainment Weekly, “I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience.” This will be the first child and the first marriage for Portman. Natalie has received numerous nominations including a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe for her role in the film. The intimate wedding ceremony took place on May 22, 2010 at their Los Angeles home with close friends and family. Morissette, 36, is a 7-time Grammy winning, Canadian singer who is known for her 90’s alternative-rock. MC Souleye, 30, is a rapper from Boca Raton, Florida. Morissette was previously engaged to Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds between 2004-2006. The newlyweds have been dating since October 2009 and this is the first marriage for both. According to Perez Hilton, Morissette is pregnant and this was a small, shotgun wedding.

In London, a court ruled in favor of the British rock band Pink Floyd against their recording label. The judge declared that EMI Music cannot sell individual tracks from classic Pink Floyd albums without the band’s consent. The judge also ordered EMI to pay Pink Floyd’s estimated $90,000 in court costs, and refused the renowned recording label permission to appeal.

A lawyer for the band stated that EMI is “not entitled to exploit recording by online distribution or by any other means other than the original album, without the consent of Pink Floyd.”

EMI said in a statement, “We’re huge fans of Pink Floyd, whose great catalog we have been representing for more than 40 years, and continue to represent exclusively and internationally. This week’s court hearing was around the interpretation of two contractual points, both linked to the digital sale of Pink Floyd’s music. There are further arguments to be heard and the case will go on for some time.” For your information, Pink Floyd’s “great catalog” is reportedly the second-most valuable in the world, behind the Beatles.

This court ruling was a victory for the artistic control of their music by prohibiting the sale of their songs on the Internet as individual downloads and ringtones.
