Morissette, 36, is a 7-time Grammy winning, Canadian singer who is known for her 90’s alternative-rock. MC Souleye, 30, is a rapper from Boca Raton, Florida. Morissette was previously engaged to Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds between 2004-2006. The newlyweds have been dating since October 2009 and this is the first marriage for both. According to Perez Hilton, Morissette is pregnant and this was a small, shotgun wedding.

Selena Gomez graduated high school twice, in reality and in a film. On Monday, May 10th, Selena’s Facebook status announced, “What are the odds……Today I graduated from high school and got my diploma!!!!! I also filmed my graduation ceremony in the upcoming movie Monte Carlo. So in a weird way I was able to experience an official graduation, LOL. How is everyone doing? What are your plans for the summer? Miss you all and I will update again soon.”

Selena, 17, is an actress on the hit Disney Channel original series Wizards of Waverly Place. She is also a pop rock singer with her band, Selena Gomez & The Scene, who will be on tour at the end of July. The pre-production movie Monte Carlo is about two college students and one recent high school graduate who are vacationing in Paris find themselves whisked away to Monte Carlo after one of the girls is mistaken for a British heiress. The upcoming movie will be filming in Monaco, Paris, and Budapest over the next few months and is set to be in theaters in 2011.

On May 9th, Shelton surprised her with a marriage proposal “over a couple of Bacardi and Diet Sprites,” near Miranda’s home in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Miranda,26, loved that her fiancé popped the question, “so Southern and old-school and perfect,” in which Blake asked for her father’s blessing prior to the marriage proposal. The race was held on a sloppy track after a full day of rain at Churchill Downs track in Louisville, Kentucky. On Sunday, Justin was back in New York City to spend some quality time with girlfriend Jessica Biel. During the afternoon, Justing and Jessica were seen strolling, hand-in-hand, in the Tribeca area of New York. Later that evening, they saw the Broadway musical, In The Heights, starring Corbin Bleu. According to a source they looked very happy together throughout the play and congratulated the cast afterward.

On Monday, the loving couple also attended the annual Met Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art: Costume Institute. Pink Floyd Win Online Music Rights Against EMI

In London, a court ruled in favor of the British rock band Pink Floyd against their recording label. The judge declared that EMI Music cannot sell individual tracks from classic Pink Floyd albums without the band’s consent. The judge also ordered EMI to pay Pink Floyd’s estimated $90,000 in court costs, and refused the renowned recording label permission to appeal.

A lawyer for the band stated that EMI is “not entitled to exploit recording by online distribution or by any other means other than the original album, without the consent of Pink Floyd.”

EMI said in a statement, “We’re huge fans of Pink Floyd, whose great catalog we have been representing for more than 40 years, and continue to represent exclusively and internationally. This week’s court hearing was around the interpretation of two contractual points, both linked to the digital sale of Pink Floyd’s music. There are further arguments to be heard and the case will go on for some time.” For your information, Pink Floyd’s “great catalog” is reportedly the second-most valuable in the world, behind the Beatles.

This court ruling was a victory for the artistic control of their music by prohibiting the sale of their songs on the Internet as individual downloads and ringtones.

British supermodel Naomi Campbell will not face assault charges after an allegation was made by her driver on Tuesday, March 2nd. The driver reported that she hit him in the back of the head, while driving, which caused his head to hit the steering wheel. According to New York police, the driver “filed a harassment complaint, but elected not to pursue criminal charges.”

Campbell, 39, has been faced with assault charges several times during the past decade. In 2008, Naomi was sentenced to two hundred hours of community service for assaulting two police officers after an airline had lost her luggage. In 2007, she was sentenced to five days of community service after throwing a mobile phone at her maid during an argument over a pair of jeans.

British fashion designer Lee Alexander McQueen was found dead today, February 11, 2010, at his home in London, England. He was 40 years old and was known for his outrageous and over-the-top designs. In 2003, Queen Elizabeth II made him Commander of the British Empire for his fashion leadership. Concerning his death, the Associated Press reported that the circumstances indicated a possible suicide due to the recent death of his mother on February 2nd, but Scotland Yard have not confirmed the aforementioned statement.

“On behalf of Lee McQueen’s family, Alexander McQueen today announces the tragic news that Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of the Alexander McQueen brand has been found dead at his home. At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee’s family.

Lee’s family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news and we hope the media will respect this.”
