Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton, the only daughter of former President Bill Clinton and incumbent Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Marc Mezvinsky. Marc is the son of former Iowa congressman Ed Mezvinsky and former Pennsylvania congresswoman Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinksy. In addition to both having politicians for parents, Chelsea, 29, and Marc, 31, are both Stanford University graduates. Marc currently works at Goldman Sachs and Chelsea is attending graduate school at Columbia University’s School of Public Health. The couple became engaged on Thanksgiving, which they spent in New York together. On Friday, November 27, 2009, Marc and Chelsea sent a mass-email out to their friends and family stating: “We’re sorry for the mass email but we wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Thanksgiving! We also wanted to share that we are engaged! We didn’t get married this past summer despite the stories to the contrary, but we are looking toward next summer and hope you all will be there to celebrate with us. Happy Holidays!
